Malaysia was my childhood home, where I spent eight formative years. I always think of Malaysia as a remarkable and strategic country in Asia. Its diversity is what makes it so special, and in my opinion, it contributes to the warmth and friendliness of its people, making them easy to get along with. I do have a bias toward Malaysia, as it holds a special place in me and continues to be one of my favorite countries. I see many opportunities in Malaysia, a country with immense potential. However, due to political challenges, I believe these opportunities may take time to materialize. Despite this, Malaysia remains a place of great promise and possibility in my eyes. Since leaving, I believe I’ve been back three times so far, each visit reminding me of the incredible memories and connection I have with the place.
Singapore is a unique country. It serves as an important hub for the global economy, showcasing remarkable advancements despite its small size. In many ways, it shares similarities with Malaysia, as they were once part of the same nation. However, Singapore has developed its own distinct economy and culture over time. In my opinion, Singapore stands out as a better place compared to Hong Kong, offering a more advanced and organized environment. Been there twice
Thailand is a nice and welcoming country, known for its friendly people and unique culture. It’s a popular tourist destination with plenty to offer, from stunning landscapes to rich traditions. The country’s tourism industry is exceptionally well promoted, attracting visitors from all over the world. I’ve also noticed significant foreign investment in Thailand, reflecting its growing global appeal. However, the food portions here tend to be smaller than what I’m used to. I’ve only been here once, but it left a lasting impression on me.
Indonesia is a bustling and hectic place, known for its massive population and constant traffic jams, especially in Jakarta. It’s truly fascinating how so many people manage to coexist in such a densely packed city. In my experience, Indonesia is on par with Malaysia when it comes to English proficiency—I didn’t encounter anyone who couldn’t speak English. A helpful tip I received before visiting was to bring diarrhea medication, which turned out to be useful. I’ve been to Indonesia twice, and both trips were memorable in their own way.
Saudi Arabia is still in the early stages of developing its tourism industry. The country only opened up to tourism in 2019, but the pandemic soon followed, slowing progress. I visited in 2023, and while it’s not fully ready for tourists yet, I believe it will be in a few years. The people there are incredibly friendly and curious, likely because the country hasn’t seen many foreign visitors yet.

The place is alright and most people are polite. Been here 5~6 times
China is a highly developed and rapidly advancing country. I lived here for a year, and it’s an interesting and unique place.
It’s a great hub for connecting flights. While it’s a small and expensive place, it seems to offer good work opportunities.
Vietnam is an exciting and friendly country with stunning scenery that is widely recognized, thanks to its well-developed tourism industry. I believe it’s probably one of the biggest tourism destinations in Southeast Asia. I’ve been there twice, and each visit left me with fun experiences.
